Evidence boundary
Section titled “Evidence boundary”This is a focused Shell unlock page for launch-window searches. It records the currently supported route to Sester Genessa and the task-item handoff involving Sester Secundus.
It does not claim a complete Shell roster, a full Genessa build, or a definitive ability ranking. Current guides also use different names for the task item, so this page preserves that discrepancy instead of silently choosing one label.
Where is Sester Genessa?
Section titled “Where is Sester Genessa?”Sester Genessa is located in Marrow Keep. The current unlock route treats the Keep as the meeting point: start by finding Genessa, then follow the interaction that points you toward Sester Secundus.
For the broader Shell system and the currently documented Shell routes, see the Mortal Shell 2 Shells Guide.
How to unlock Genessa’s Shell
Section titled “How to unlock Genessa’s Shell”Use this launch-safe route:
- Reach Marrow Keep and locate Sester Genessa.
- Follow the interaction or task direction that sends you to Sester Secundus.
- Obtain the required task item from Sester Secundus.
- Return to Genessa in Marrow Keep.
- Complete the conversation or handoff interaction to unlock Genessa’s Shell.
The important progression gate is the return to Genessa. If the Shell does not unlock immediately, finish the active dialogue and check the interaction prompt again rather than assuming that the route requires a different Shell or weapon.
Is the item a Censer or a Chalice?
Section titled “Is the item a Censer or a Chalice?”Current launch guides do not use one consistent name. Some call the item Sester’s Censer, while others call it Sester’s Chalice.
That naming difference is an evidence boundary, not a reason to invent two separate quest items. Use the item name and objective shown by your current game build, and follow the Sester Secundus → Genessa handoff. This page does not treat either English label as universally settled.
What happens after the unlock?
Section titled “What happens after the unlock?”After the interaction is complete, check the Shell menu and the Shells Guide for the current roster boundary and route context. This page does not rank Genessa against other Shells or prescribe a complete build.
If you are planning a later cycle, the New Game Plus guide explains the broader distinction between character-bound progress and world-state resets. It does not replace the Genessa unlock route in the current cycle.
Where do you find Sester Genessa?
Section titled “Where do you find Sester Genessa?”Find her in Marrow Keep, the hub used by the current unlock route.
Who gives you the item for Genessa’s Shell?
Section titled “Who gives you the item for Genessa’s Shell?”Current launch guides point to Sester Secundus. Bring the required task item from Secundus back to Genessa.
Is the item called Sester’s Censer or Sester’s Chalice?
Section titled “Is the item called Sester’s Censer or Sester’s Chalice?”Sources use both names. Check the in-game prompt in your build instead of assuming that one published label is definitive.
Do you need a specific weapon to unlock Genessa?
Section titled “Do you need a specific weapon to unlock Genessa?”No specific weapon requirement is established by the current route summary. Follow the Sester Secundus task and complete the return interaction.
Is Genessa the best Shell?
Section titled “Is Genessa the best Shell?”Not established. This page covers the unlock route, not a complete Shell tier list or build guide.
