  • Revered Gland: increases the number of healing items you can carry.
  • Synaptic Vessel: increases how much each healing use restores.

Current launch coverage reports 21 total upgrades: 11 Revered Glands and 10 Synaptic Vessels. Two are purchases from Merrick; the remaining 19 are route pickups, dungeon rewards, or boss rewards.

Use the nearest Beacon or named area as your route anchor. The numbering is a checklist order from current guide coverage, not a mandatory collection route.

# Upgrade Beacon / area Location
1 Revered Gland Marrow Keep Buy from Merrick for 1,500 coin.
2 Synaptic Vessel Marrow Keep Buy from Merrick for 1,500 coin.
3 Synaptic Vessel Stonebled Gate South of the Beacon, beside the camp fire and boxes.
4 Revered Gland Nocthean Gate At the end of Thieves Retreat, north of the Beacon and one level down.
5 Revered Gland Mushroom Village Inside Holding Cells, entered through a well northwest of the Beacon.
6 Synaptic Vessel Mushroom Village North of Deserted Mine, on the east edge of the Trial Obelisk’s stone circle.
7 Synaptic Vessel Outskirts of Nochte South of the Beacon, inside the north interior of the upper castle area.
8 Revered Gland One Legged Wolf Pale Grisha reward at the end of Grisha Hunting Grounds, northwest past the ruins.
9 Revered Gland Widow’s Overlook South of the Beacon, beside a body near the western cliff edge.
10 Revered Gland Citadel of Penance Southeast of the Beacon, behind a breakable wooden wall in the southwestern outer-castle corner.
11 Synaptic Vessel Citadel of Penance Behind the gate opened by the button opposite Eredrim’s former position.
12 Synaptic Vessel One Legged Wolf Through the eastern jump into Temple of Vatra, right before the large staircase.
13 Synaptic Vessel Sester’s Gate At the far back wall near boxes, past the long bridge with the bell-shooting route.
14 Synaptic Vessel Gate of Infinity At the first bookshelf climb point, on the left as you enter.
15 Synaptic Vessel Castigator’s Keep South of the Beacon, in the central courtyard.
16 Revered Gland Abbey Entrance In the cave east of town, behind the door opened by destroying three glowing tombstones.
17 Synaptic Vessel Abandoned Outpost In the Slums, among tombstones north of the western church building.
18 Revered Gland High Lord’s Courtyard In the central long building on the south side of the outer courtyard, in front of a statue.
19 Revered Gland Sunken Village In the container down the hill behind you, after cleansing the Beacon.
20 Revered Gland Prisoners’ Domain Past the toppled statue, beyond the iron-maiden room.
21 Revered Gland Sanguine Shoreline In a cave along the main path after the first open area.

From Nocthean Gate Beacon, head north and drop one level. Use the switch to open the dungeon route, then follow the invisible walkways. The suspended bodies are the reported visual landmarks for the route to the Revered Gland.

From Mushroom Village Beacon, go northwest to the route that enters Holding Cells. Use Mether’s Breath on the corruption blocking the jump pad, enter through the well, and find the button behind the boxes to open the Revered Gland room.

Reach Grisha Hunting Grounds northwest past the ruins from the One Legged Wolf area. The Revered Gland is the reported reward for defeating Pale Grisha.

For the Revered Gland, go southeast of the Beacon to the southwestern outer-castle corner and break the wooden wall. For the Synaptic Vessel, find and press the button on the wall opposite Eredrim’s former position to open the nearby gate.

Enter the cave east of town and destroy all three glowing tombstones. The door to the Revered Gland opens after the third tombstone.

Cleanse the Sunken Village Beacon first. Then turn around, walk down the hill, and check the container behind you.

Follow the main path to the giant statue. Destroy the pots at its base to topple it, then pass the iron-maiden room to reach the Revered Gland.

There is no reported collection counter for these upgrades. Fast-travel back to the named location: if the pickup is gone, it was collected. Your healing item should also show the result—more charges for a Revered Gland or greater restoration for a Synaptic Vessel.

LootMap separately reports a 15-marker “Healing Upgrades” layer and 12 “Devout’s Chalice” artifacts. Do not add those artifact chalices to this 21-item Gland/Vessel checklist; current coverage treats them as a different map-layer category.

Current launch coverage reports that none of the 21 are missable and that uncollected upgrades remain available during free roam after the final boss. Treat that as current guide reporting rather than a permanent guarantee for every future patch.

  • Counting Devout’s Chalices as Revered Glands or Synaptic Vessels.
  • Forgetting the 1,500-coin Merrick purchases in Marrow Keep.
  • Entering Holding Cells without first clearing the corruption at the jump pad.
  • Leaving the Sunken Village route before cleansing its Beacon.
  • Missing the Citadel button because the Vessel is not behind the same wooden wall as the Gland.
  • Expecting a collection counter to track the 21 pickups.

For the progression gates that unlock several of these routes, see the Ova guide. The New Game Plus guide explains why Revered Glands and Synaptic Vessels are reported to respawn in a later run.
