The reliable Conquered Temple route is Sester’s Gate → Winterglass Lake → Urrig, the Executioner → Ovate’s Chamber → Droeg the Conqueror → Conqueror’s Hoard. Cleanse Sester’s Gate Beacon to open the Corrupted Gate, use the named Beacons and large environmental landmarks as checkpoints, and collect the post-boss Ova before leaving.

The route descriptions around Ovate’s Chamber are not identical: some sources describe a traversal gate across the gap, while others emphasize the elevator, Jump Pad, or the frozen-lake approach. Follow the active route shown in your game after activating the Beacon. This walkthrough uses landmarks rather than map coordinates because the available sources do not share a calibrated coordinate system.

  1. Cleanse Sester’s Gate Beacon in Sester’s Refuge to clear the entrance to Conquered Temple.
  2. Enter the snow-covered temple and follow the bridge, stairs, multi-level structure, and altar-room landmarks.
  3. Activate Winterglass Lake Beacon at the bottom of the large stair descent. Its cleanse opens the optional Mornefrost Grave dungeon.
  4. Continue through the main route, using the repaired bridge, bats, fork, narrow bridge, and arena drop as checks for Urrig, the Executioner.
  5. After Urrig, use the Jump Pad and elevator route to reach Ovate’s Chamber Beacon. Cleanse it only if you want the optional Pilfered Crypt branch, but activate it before the boss approach.
  6. Follow the active traversal gate / elevator route across the gap and defeat Droeg the Conqueror. The Droeg boss guide has the full fight breakdown.
  7. Activate and cleanse the post-fight Conqueror’s Hoard Beacon, then collect its Ova.
  8. For the optional Frostshard Stone, cross the cold route beyond the pod chamber: praying statues → large snow-covered statue → giant stone hands → narrow bridge → stone chest.

Start at Sester’s Gate Beacon in Sester’s Refuge. If the route to the temple is still covered by corruption, choose the Beacon’s cleanse interaction and complete that short dungeon first. Current walkthrough coverage identifies this cleanse as the step that clears the Corrupted Gate leading to Conquered Temple.

The broader Mammon gate order is flexible. You do not need to treat Conquered Temple as a mandatory first gate; use the Ova guide for the wider progression handoff and the Beacons and fast travel guide when the menu distinction between resting, cleansing, and travelling is unclear.

Bring a familiar Shell and weapon, keep healing available for the long interior route, and keep a sidearm ready for environmental interactions. A glowing summon sign before Droeg can unlock Gragu for one Glimpse. That summon is optional, so do not wait for it if you want to continue.

1. Enter the temple and establish the interior landmarks

Section titled “1. Enter the temple and establish the interior landmarks”

Enter through the Corrupted Gate that Sester’s Gate cleared. The temple is a snow-covered, enemy-filled route with bridges, stairs, and a large multi-level structure. Keep moving from one safe landmark to the next instead of trying to reproduce a compass direction from an external map.

When the route reaches an altar-room / large-structure section, note the stair descent before moving on. That descent is the useful check for Winterglass Lake Beacon.

Winterglass Lake Beacon is reported at the bottom of the large stair set after leaving the altar room, or at the bottom of the large multi-level structure. Those descriptions identify the same practical landmark: exit the structure and descend the prominent stairs until the Beacon appears.

Activate it before pushing farther. If the menu offers Cleanse Beacon, the cleanse opens Mornefrost Grave, an optional side dungeon. You can use the Beacon as a reset and return point even if you are not ready to clear that branch.

Inside Mornefrost Grave, follow the linear path and use the wall plate beside the gate to open it. Continue to the hand-shaped alcove and the rooms beyond it. The obstruction on the main crossroad clears after the first sweep, revealing more side loot and a route toward the large hand blocking the final doorway.

Move through that doorway to fight Caged Grisha. After the fight, interact with the Ovum at the back of the arena to cleanse the dungeon and leave. This branch is useful for its local rewards, but it is not required to reach Droeg.

Return to the main temple route and follow the bridges and stairs through the snow. The most useful approach checks are:

  • a repaired bridge;
  • an area with bats;
  • a fork where the route can continue forward or turn right;
  • a narrow bridge on the left; and
  • a drop into the arena.

These landmarks are more reliable than a fixed sequence of left and right turns. Drop into the arena only after you are ready for Urrig, the Executioner, the mid-dungeon fight guarding the route forward.

After Urrig falls, look for the Jump Pad that leads upward. Follow the stairs and elevator route to the upper section.

At the top of the elevator, check the left side for Ovate’s Chamber Beacon. Activate it before taking the final boss route. The name is written “Ovate Chamber” in some external guides; follow the label shown in your game.

The Beacon’s cleanse interaction opens the optional Pilfered Crypt dungeon. If you enter it, clear the first room, check the top-left chest for the Winterglass Gem, then find the altar with the corrupted Ovum on the opposite side and complete the cleanse. Return to the Beacon area before continuing toward the boss.

Sources describe this short final approach differently. One route uses a traversal gate across the gap after Ovate’s Chamber; other descriptions emphasize the elevator / Jump Pad continuation and the frozen lake beyond. The stable instruction is:

  1. Rest or reset at Ovate’s Chamber Beacon.
  2. Take the active traversal gate or elevator route that leads across the gap.
  3. Watch for the short transition and the frozen arena.
  4. If the green summon sign is present, spend a Glimpse to call Gragu only if you want the distraction.

Do not treat Droeg’s apparent stagger in the second phase as a free attack. The red warning means homing Frostfire projectiles are about to launch. Move or sprint sideways until the full volley ends, then return for a short punish. For the complete phase and attack coverage, read the Droeg the Conqueror guide.

6. Cleanse Conqueror’s Hoard and collect the Ova

Section titled “6. Cleanse Conqueror’s Hoard and collect the Ova”

After defeating Droeg, look around the arena for the newly spawned Conqueror’s Hoard Beacon. Some sources spell this “Conquerer’s Hoard”; the local Beacon list uses Conqueror’s Hoard.

Activate the triangular Beacon and choose its cleanse interaction. Then enter the pod chamber and collect the Ova. Cleansing the Beacon and collecting the Ova are separate completion checks, so do not leave immediately after the boss reward appears. The Ova guide covers the return-to-Marrow-Keep progression and avoids relying on a disputed universal threshold.

The cold route beyond the pod chamber is optional, but it is easy to miss if you teleport away after collecting the Ova. Exit the cleansed chamber and follow the ruins past the praying statues. Continue to the large snow-covered statue and pray at it to open the hidden passage.

Move through the snowy valley, using the giant stone hands and campfires as landmarks. Keep moving because the extreme cold causes periodic damage. At the far end, cross the narrow bridge and drop down at the end of the route. Open the stone chest to claim the Frostshard Stone, then use the available travel route to return to the pod chamber.

“Ovate Chamber” versus “Ovate’s Chamber”

Section titled ““Ovate Chamber” versus “Ovate’s Chamber””

Both spellings appear in current walkthroughs. This page uses Ovate’s Chamber because it matches the local Beacon inventory. If the menu uses the shorter label in your build, follow the Beacon’s position at the top of the elevator rather than assuming it is a separate checkpoint.

Winterglass Lake versus Ovate’s Chamber order

Section titled “Winterglass Lake versus Ovate’s Chamber order”

Checklist pages do not present the same visual order for the two interior Beacons. The stable route checks are the large structure / altar-room stair descent for Winterglass Lake, and the post-Urrig Jump Pad / elevator section for Ovate’s Chamber. Use those landmarks instead of a numbered Beacon order.

Traversal gate versus elevator route to Droeg

Section titled “Traversal gate versus elevator route to Droeg”

The checked sources agree on the Beacon and the frozen arena, but differ on whether the final transition is best described as a traversal gate, an elevator, or the continuation from the Beacon. Follow the interactable route currently present after you activate Ovate’s Chamber; no coordinate or guessed turn is needed.

The post-boss Beacon can appear in the arena, but the route is not complete until you cleanse Conqueror’s Hoard and collect the Ova in the pod chamber. Use the Ova guide if the return handoff is unclear.

This guide intentionally uses named Beacons, stairs, bridges, statues, the frozen valley, and the stone chest. It does not assert x/y coordinates because the available route sources do not provide a shared audited coordinate system.
